Christmas-themed Minute to Win It Party

Host a lively and festive Christmas-themed "Minute to Win It" party for residents, emphasizing fun and teamwork. The event includes a series of quick and entertaining Christmas-themed games, such as Snow Shovel with Spoons and Cotton Balls, Christmas Tree Cup Stack, Jingle Bell Shaking Guessing Game, Partner Gift Wrap, Snowman Stack with Marshmallows, and Reindeer Antlers with Balloons and Pantyhose. These activities not only provide laughter and enjoyment but also promote social interaction, teamwork, and physical engagement as residents participate in friendly competitions.

  1. Social Engagement: Foster a sense of community and camaraderie among residents through team-based games.
  2. Emotional Engagement: Encourage laughter, joy, and a positive mood during the holiday season.
  3. Physical Engagement: Promote physical activity and fine motor skills through the interactive nature of the games.
  4. Intellectual Engagement: Stimulate cognitive function through strategic thinking and problem-solving in the games.
  1. Set up game stations for each activity.
  2. Snow Shovel with Spoons and Cotton Balls: Residents use a spoon to transfer cotton balls from one bowl to another, mimicking snow shoveling. The fastest participant wins.
  3. Christmas Tree Cup Stack: Arrange red and green plastic cups into the shape of a Christmas tree, then carefully unstack them. The resident who stacks and unstacks the cups the fastest is the winner.
  4. Jingle Bell Shaking Guessing Game: Shake containers filled with jingle bells and make the best guess about how many are inside. Arrange containers with different bell quantities and challenge residents to arrange them in the correct order as quickly as possible.
  5. Partner Gift Wrap: Form teams and ask residents to wrap a gift using only one hand each. Add a bow and a gift tag. The team that wraps the gift the fastest wins.
  6. Snowman Stack with Marshmallows: Encourage residents to stack three marshmallows to create a snowman shape. The goal is to build as many snowmen as possible within your chosen time.
  7. Reindeer Antlers with Balloons and Pantyhose: Work in teams to stuff inflated balloons into pantyhose, creating reindeer antlers. Place them on one team member's head to win the game.
  8. Explain the rules and objectives of each game to residents.
  9. Divide residents into teams, ensuring a mix of participants in each group.
  10. Rotate teams through each game, adjusting time limits based on the group's pace.
