Bria Selects Welbi to Help Deliver Exceptional and Unique Life Experiences to Their Residents

July 20, 2021

Creating vibrant communities where seniors lead active and purposeful lives is at the heart of what Bria does. That’s why they’re partnering with Welbi to help their communities deliver exceptional and unique life experiences to their residents.

Based in British Columbia, Canada, Bria Communities is a group of four senior living communities: Magnolia Gardens, Sunridge Gardens, The Waterford, and The Wexford. They are a signature brand of seniors housing residences with independent living suites, and licensed, long-term BriaCare Centres.

The Welbi platform will empower Bria’s recreation teams to tailor their services to meet the needs and wants of their residents. They will be able to craft programs that engage residents and foster relationship-building between like-minded individuals. In addition to improving programming, Welbi will save Bria’s recreation teams countless hours per month with user-friendly calendar planning tools, real-time recommendations and resident data at their fingertips.

Tanya Snow, Director of Bria Communities, understands the value of a tool like Welbi in a retirement community setting. “Quality relationships mean everything. Understanding the needs of a human in different stages of their life is critical. When someone is not engaged for some reason, it’s up to us to fix it and create opportunities that will improve their quality of life.”

For the Recreation Managers at all four Bria retirement residences, Welbi is a game-changer. “I’m excited about the opportunities that Welbi is going to bring my team,” says Jennifer Wasden, Recreation Manager at Sunridge Gardens in Langley. “It’s easy to use, and it’s going to allow us to engage a larger number of residents in daily programs. When we create programs that residents get excited about, it benefits all aspects of their wellness.”

Implementing Welbi is part of a bigger plan to ensure seniors living in Bria Communities are flourishing.

“We can’t ignore loneliness,” says Tanya Snow, Director of Bria Communities, “and it’s part of our commitment to make sure that even if you’re choosing to live in a more isolated way, you’re still going to be involved and engaged socially.”

“Welbi is extremely excited to welcome Bria as one of our clients,” says Elizabeth Audette-Bourdeau, Welbi’s CEO & Co-Founder. “Bria has been committed to creating safe and vibrant communities where choices are valued, and seniors lead active and purposeful lives. Welbi is the perfect addition to their resident experience initiatives and we can’t wait to see their programs continue to flourish”.
